I have a great story for you. I have been in the wedding business since 1987 and this is the best and most bizarre story I can tell. Well it started off being a Bride Zilla wedding the bride wanted everything to go just perfect as usual. The groom was a firefighter and he was pretty laid back.

We have two different ways to walk down the aisle: the long walk, which is out of the front door and down the long walk way, and the short walk, which is down the steps. This bride, of course, took the long walk choice. Which, at the time, we did not know this was a great choice for her and our establishment.

We also have beautiful candleabras made out of silks. We use these candleabras for almost every wedding that is performed at our alter. I am the only one that lights these candles, but for this wedding I gave in and let two of her attendants light them.
Remember "Bride Zilla". We always try to please the bride.

Since the groom was a fireman they rented the Old Fire truck from the Needham Road Fire station. This truck sat in the front of the building as all the guests arrived.
It was a Big, bold, flashy red truck.

Well as the Groom started to walk down the aisle the candleabras caught on fire. Yes! Fire! One of the guests jumped up and grabbed the candleabra and rushed it down the aisle handed it off to someone else and then handed to the fire truck driver and he dowsed it with water. We'll everyone thought it was part of the wedding. NOT! The processional went on without missing a beat and the bride came around the "long walk" and never knew what had happened. By the time she went around the corner all the smoke had cleared.

A few months later a photographer brought us by pictures of the whole incident!

Crazy huh! I have worked at this facility for 8 years and this is the only time that the candleabras have decided to catch on fire in the ceremony! And it was a Fireman's wedding!
