I was asked if I would perform Close-Up Magic at the wedding, of one of my best friends' sons' wedding. I said of course, I would be honored. Having worked for 6 years as the Holiday Inn magician and over 30 years as a professional Magician, I knew what worked best for these occasions. I brought nothing but my "A" material and I was in a magic zone that day. I got away with so many things that day, strictly because of comedy misdirection that I probably need to write a book. What started off as a 30 - 45 strolling magic turned into a 2 hour marathon. Everyone had a great time, so did the guests! I saw both sets of parents at a food festival the next day, and they said everybody enjoyed the wedding but my close-up magic was all anybody was talking about!!! They could not believe all of the things that I made happen right in their hands and at their tables. I didn't mean to upstage the bride & groom, I just wanted to make it a memorable occasion for everyone. They all thanked me for my performance and we enjoyed the rest of the food festival. Their pictures came out so good with all of the facial expressions that I used their pictures as the showcase for my wedding performances.
