every guy likes a good bonfire with the guys, so I asked myself why not do that for my stag party? When my friends asked me what I wanted to do for my stag event, they knew I'm not one of those who goes to a strip club / gentlemen's club and get totally smashed. I didn't want to embarrass myself with a girl I didn't know, get totally drunk and not remember anything the next day. On the contrary, I wanted to remember that night. My friends took the effort to ask me what I wanted (that means they really want my opinion) and I wanted to at least know what happened the next morning.

What also helped me decide that a campout is what I want is actually going to another friend's stag do at a private house not so long ago. We had a BBQ, drank beer and sat on the lawn having a great time. By the time the 2 female exotic dancers we had hired arrived, the man who was supposed to enjoy the lap dance and other features of the evening, was 'out'. Out meaning lying on the lawn unconscious and occasionally shouting at the bushes.

That night was nice because I saw old friends, had good quality drinks and a great home-made BBQ only guys can enjoy. The stag didn't really enjoy throwing up in the bushes and the ladies didn't have much to do with him. I wanted a bonfire stag party.

We took our range rovers to our secret spot in the forest in Southern UK, set up camp and went for a really nice hike.
We planned to stay the night, sober up in the morning and drive back home. I even invited some friends and family from the USA, Ireland and Israel to join us.
After darkness set down our fire was already cooking a few pounds of BBQ meat. One of the guys set up a mobile surround system playing the favourite tracks we all like and the beer was getting drunk.

We ate, laughed, danced and enjoyed ourselves on a stag party we would all remember – especially me.
Next year we are planning to do the same in Yellowstone national park, Wyoming, USA for another friend who's getting married too.
Who knows, this may become a tradition for our gang.
