Alphabet Crafts was established in 2004. At the same time I began a teacher training course and became qualified as a teacher of adults, achieving a Cert. Ed. in July 2007. I was selected to become a member of Suffolk Crafts Society in 2005 and became an accredited tutor for the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society in 2007.

While teaching and calligraphy commissions provide most of my work a substantial part comes from the writing of names on invitations and place cards for individual and corporate clients. The design of wedding stationery and helping couples who are planning their special day is an especially enjoyable task.

My work has been featured in "Suffolk and Norfolk Life" September 2005, "Pure Weddings" Autumn 2006, "An Essex Wedding" November 2006 and "Pure Weddings" Spring 2007.

I have recently moved from Suffolk to Norfolk.

Calligraphy

Calligraphy - the art of beautiful writing - can enhance your wedding or party stationery, provide a handwritten gift for a friend or loved one, document years of family history research, or record the achievements of students or staff. Choosing handwritten work over a typed equivalent will provide the recipient with something to treasure.

During the main wedding season I am very busy. If you would like work to be completed between April and September, you are advised to book. A small deposit will secure a time slot for your work.

While most of my customers are from the Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk areas a sizeable proportion of work is sent to London, the rest of the UK and Europe.
